Intro

As part of a school assignment, I was tasked with creating a visual identity for a Shakespeare in the Park production of Much Ado About Nothing, a comedy full of lying, spying, petty feuds, and fickle love.

Year

2024

The title of the play is created from one continuous line, starting and ending at a heart. It represents the “much ado” that takes two main characters on a journey—first love, then hatred, deception, and confusion, then love all over again.

The poster doubles as a program for the entire season of Shakespeare in the Park. The visual pun of the design, one continuous line starting and ending at love, carries over into this composition.

The design scales well for social media, and the design element of the continuous line works especially well here, guiding viewers from one slide of an Instagram carousel to the next.
